Smart Usage Rewards for Aggregators or Direct Enrollees
During peak demand in the summer, we’ll pay you to reduce energy use in our service territory temporarily through Smart Usage Rewards (also known as Demand Response).

About
During the summer, you can help reduce strain on the energy grid and help ensure everyone has safe, reliable power. Working on our behalf, you can enroll customers to earn up to $18,000 a year for every 100 kilowatts (kW) you reduce as an aggregator or direct enrollee.
Deadlines
Reward Period: May 1 to September 30
Enrollment Deadline: April 1
Reward Period: June 1 to September 30
Enrollment Deadline: May 1
Please note, if the deadline falls on a Saturday or Sunday, enrollments will be accepted until the following Monday.
How It Works
We’ll notify you ahead of time when it’s time to reduce your electricity use, based on your selected programs. You can join one program from each group – Reliability Programs and Peak Shaving Programs – but not more than one within the same group.
PEAK SHAVING PROGRAMS
These programs aim to reduce electricity consumption when there is a forecast for high-demand or temperature swings.
Commercial System Relief Program (CSRP)
Earn $6-$18/kW monthly based on location, plus $1/kWh performance payment during events.
Long Term Dynamic Load Management (TERM – DLM)
Earn competitive $/kW incentive rates established through procurement process.
RELIABILITY PROGRAMS
These programs take an active approach to ensure the consistent and dependable operation of power grids and other infrastructure.
Distribution Load Relief Program (DLRP)
Earn $18-$25/kW monthly based on network tier, plus $1/kWh performance payment during events.
Long Term Dynamic Load Management (AUTO-DLM)
Earn competitive $/kW incentive rates established through procurement process.
Voluntary customers can be enrolled after the enrollment deadlines and receive $3/kWh performance payment rate during events.
